Race 1: Otago Farm Machinery Maiden, $10,000, 1600m
Erin’s Babe, a half sister to Patrick Erin and Gallant Boy, won impressively. Ridden by Corey Campbell, she settled eighth on the outer, improved three wide from the 400m and unleashed a powerful finish to win by a long neck from stablemate Riding High. The pair are trained by Brian and Shane Anderton. Erin’s Babe is a 5yr-old mare by Raise The Flag raced by Christchurch breeder Pat Smith. She is the last foal of Mega Babe (Personal Escort – Red Diamond). Riding High improved from sixth to lead near the 200m but lost concentration. He came again when challenged. There was a length and a half to favourite Little Bossing, who trailed the pacemaker Beaver Las Vegas. Kilowatt was two and a quarter lengths back fourth after racing three back on the inner. Castle made ground from last for fifth, ahead of Oreo, who raced outside the leader.

Race 2: Central City Car Painters, $30,000, rating 85, 1200m
Fascinate won going away by two lengths, advancing her case for the Canterbury Breeders’ Stakes at Riccarton on November 15. Fascinate worked clear inside the 200m after trailing the pacemaker Tomm Jones and dashed away. Passito fought on for second after attending the leader and reaching the lead near the 200m. Wize Act ran on late for third, a length and a quarter away. She was tailed off last in the six-horse field at the 450m. Somethings Burning was a length and a half back fifth after racing three wide near the pace.

Race 3: Ray and Alison Kean Southern Wide Real Estate, $25,000, rating 75, 1600m
Shakti, a chance ride for Krishna Mudhoo, finished boldly to win. Mudhoo replaced Daniel Bothamley, who was unwell. Shakti settled fifth on the inner and unwound in the straight to win by half a length from Indiana Pearl. Shakti is trained by Jo Gordon, who races the 8yr-old with Jim Mee, Trevor Young and Murray Scott. Indiana Pearl fought on well after trailing in the second line on the outer. Suzerain, who raced outside the leader King Nero was a length and three quarters back third. There was two lengths to Bridget Town, who trailed the leader.The favourite Gallant Defender was last home after being left four lengths at the start.

Race 3: Otago Tyres Maiden, $10,000, 1400m
It’s Pandemonium came from last at the 500m in a 13-horse field to win. It’s Pandemodium renewed an association of trainer Kelvin Tyler and jockey Kevin Kalychurun. She prevailed by three quarters of a length from Ruby Marie, who was second last for much of the way until she reached the front inside the 200m. Aboli was a length and a quarter back third after racing handy on the outer with a length and a half to Zayzay, who attended the pacemaker, Gracious Luck. Turbulence ran on from ninth for fifth, ahead of favourite Never You Mind (trailed leader) and Macario.
It’s Pandemonium is a 4yr-old mare by Red Giant – Julez raced by trainer Tyler, his partner Vanessa Burns, Allan and Marie Tyler. It’s Pandemonium is a half sister to Flying Sardine, winner of four races for the Tyler stable.

Race 5: Living Corporation Handicap, $35,000, open, 1400m
Fairlight was well rated by apprentice Kin Kwo to lead throughout. The Rip Van Winkle mare trained at Riccarton by Les and Richard Didham won decisively by a length and a quarter from King Pin who improved on the inner to trail the leader at the 900m. Gallant Boy ran on solidly from the rear of the six-horse field for third, half a head back with half a length to Dynamic had his chance. Horse to follow: Fairlight.
Race 6: KB Contractors Maiden, $10,000, 1200m
Zabay gave trainers Brian and and Shane Anderton and stable apprentice Corey Campbell their third win for the day. Zabay settled fifth on the outer and came to the fore inside the 200m to win by a length and a half. Plowshare ran on from beyond mid-field for second with half a head to Tussock, who shared the second line on the outer as Bobsthejob made the pace. Edward finished solidly from well back for fifth, ahead of Bobsthejob and Mowenna.
Zabay is a 4yr-old mare by Stravinsky from Obey, raced by Markwood Lodge Ltd.

Race 7: Crombie Lockwood, $25,000, rating 75, 1200m
Celtic Cross prevailed in a close finish to give trainer Andrew Carston an overdue win. Celtic Cross (Rafi Firdhaus) chased the pacemaker Mia Mamma and gained the upper hand near the 250m. She maintained a determined run to win by a long neck from Raise You Ten, who charged home from fifth on the outer. There was a long neck to Willow, who raced close up on the outer with a nose to Tickets On Her and a neck to Flicka Of Gold. Taieri Gem was close up sixth. Tickets On Her raced fourth on the inner and Flicka Of Gold made ground. Mia Mamma dropped out to second last.
Celtic Cross , a 5yr-old Keeper mare is raced by Carston with the Social Racing #3 syndicate, managed by Brent Cooper.

Race 8: Brocklebanks Drycleaners, $22,500, rating 65, 1200m
Macy finished generously to provide jockey Shankar Muniandy with his 200th win in New Zealand. She repeated her maiden win on the track for trainer Terry Kennedy and owner Eric Parr. Macy (Shankar Muniandy) settled fourth and headed the pacemaker Ellerstina inside the final 200m to score by a length and three quarters. Ellerstina fought on well for second with Galway Garry storming home late from the rear for third. Livadream was closest at the finish in fourth place, ahead of Killa Question and Them Or Us.
The favourite Our Teddy Boy weakened from sixth in the running to finish tenth.

Race 9: The Wingatui Function Centre, $22,500. rating 65, 1400m
Entree made it a one-horse race. Samantha Wynne took the 6yr-old mare to the front at the 1000m after starting from barrier 13. Entree, trained by Danny Crozier, drew away in the home straight to win by six lengths. Countess Ruby ran on from well back to take second place by half a length from Paw Patrol, who settled in the rear group. There was a neck to Long Harbour (fifth in the running) and three quarters of a length to Road To Redemption, who shaped well fresh up. Travel Wise led in the others, ahead of I’m Horace and Queen Serene. Michael Stokes, a part-owner of Entree, is also in the ownership of Fairlight, a winner earlier in the day.
